I bought this The Waste Land and Other Poems by T.S. Eliot because I wanted to expand my book horizons and poetry was a genre I was really lacking in.
I bought this book because the name T.S. Eliot sounded familiar.
I bought this book because it said T.S. Eliot was a winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature.
I bought the book for all those reasons….. but it doesn’t mean I understand it. He uses a lot of metaphors and allusions and it’s a lot to dig into and appreciate. I will definitely reread this book again in the future and really unravel it. I probably just jumped in the deep end of the poetry pool without realizing it.
The Waste Land and Other Poems is probably really good, but it is over my head… hints why I need to read more poetry.
